Design Officer - Specs Writer

Job Description

This position is for someone with experience writing and creating Architectural Specifications based on each project.

Primary Qualifications:

  • Background in Architecture or Engineering.
  • In-depth understanding of Architectural Specifications Writing.
  • Has previously made sets of Architectural Specifications for multiple projects in Master Format.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create New Specifications for new and innovative products in the Construction Industry.
  • Report to the Assistant Design Manager and Design Manager on tasks and projects that need to be accomplished within the set timeline.
  • In charge of crafting, archiving, and tailoring technical specifications to each project in Master Format.
  • Research new materials and installation methods applicable to our in-house projects.
  • Work in close coordination with the design team to align specifications with drawings, estimates, and other documents.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and/or Interior Designer.
  • 1 to 2 years of work experience in the field.
  • Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe CreatÍve Suite, SketchUp, and Revit
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to a dynamic and collaborative work environment demonstrated attention to detail strong creativity and passion for design.
  • Knowledge of Space Planning.
  • Willing to work as part of a team.
